3 - Farming in the Forest
This edition focused on ways and meands to improve the sustainability in the context of farming in the forest. The changing global policies and alternative strategies adopted by NGO that reflect the resilience of the local communitiy will be discuss as well in the farming in the forest edition.
Indigenous people have been practicing shifting cultivation for years and is often seen as unproductive and outmodeled as well as destroying the forest resources. But recent studies show that considerable evidence showing that extensive nomadic and settled shifting cultivation can be sustainable and enhance bio-agrodiversity.
