3 - Farming and Social Inclusion
Social inclusion is a process which ensures that people have greater participation in decision-making which affects their lives and access to their fundamental rights. It is now recognised that to reduce poverty, inclusive growth should be the ultimate goal of economic growth.
There are practical needs, interests and long term concerns to be addressed while removing the causes of exclusion. Based on the groups and the issues to be addressed, strategies for social inclusion will differ. Many of the cases presented in this issue of the LEISA Magazine focus on such efforts.
