The experiences in this issue of Revista Agriculturas (Relocating the agri-food systems) are part of a ‘third path’ in family farming, taken by local organisations in response to the globalisation of agriculture.
By constructing or revitalizing local markets, parts of the supply chain are eliminated, which benefits both producers and consumers. Profit stays within the region.
