As árvores na agricultura
To ensure that the population is fed in the face of climate change and environmental transformations family farming must become less vulnerable. This issue explores what role trees and native forests in Brazilian agriculture can play in this regard.
Articles in this issue deal with the history of trees in agricultural systems in Latin America and on how agroforestry contributes to ecosystem services and food security. Initiatives are also described that focus on the knowledge construction processes that are involved in the development of agroforestry systems, the economic and environmental aspects of agroforestry, the compatability of livestock with forest parcels, and the sustainable use of protected forest areas and their regeneration by agroecological systems.
