Learning from experience : a manual for organising, analysing and documenting field based information

This guide looks at systematisation as a process which seeks to organise the available information, analyse it in detail, draw conclusions and generate new knowledge, and share these results. The manual presents some basic principles (like the importance of involving as many stakeholders as possible) and some general conditions needed (such as institutional support). It then explains the three steps of a systematisation process: 1. Setting the boundaries; 2. Describing the initiative and its results; 3. Analysing the factors of success. The manual is available in six languages.
